Long Island University is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution of higher education with locations and programs spanning across the New York metropolitan area as well as overseas and online. 

With 500 academic programs, the university has two main campuses, LIU Post and LIU Brooklyn. Additionally, it has non-residential programs at LIU Brentwood, LIU Riverhead, LIU Hudson at Rockland and Westchester.
