To provide inner-city youth with resources that help them complete their education, establish a career and start a business thus creating young business leaders who bridge the transition gap from student to entrepreneur.
Our Objective
To work in high schools creating young business leaders out of eligible low-income youth aged 16 - 24 in New York City by helping them complete their education, establish a career then start a business. Our unconventional approach provides every youth in our program with a clear process to effectively identify their inherent skill set and mentors who provide one-to-one guidance and inspiration to ensure that youth complete their education and achieve success in establishing a career and starting a business.
The Challenge
4T's - Teaching Teens To Think is one solution to this challenge.
We specifically address the high drop out rate by inspiring students and youth between the ages of 16 - 24 to complete their education, establish a career, and start a business.
This is what makes the development of intervention strategies, programs and organizations such as 4T's necessary according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It concludes that educational scholarships, career counseling, job and skills training for youth, broader support for youth mentoring and peer counseling are necessary for their survival and society as a whole.
