Bryan Braswell is currently a project coordinator at the Vera Institute of Justice where he serves with an alternative-to-incarceration program for youth who commit violent crimes. He joined Vera in July 2013 as project coordinator of Common Justice. A native of Buffalo, New York, Bryan previously served as a residence hall director at Lincoln University and Bowie State University, two historically black universities, and with a mentoring organization, working primarily with male students of color. He brings an immense passion for undoing the inequalities in the criminal justice system and improving the lives of those he works with. Bryan also has a passion for empowering your men of color and seeing them work to their fullest potential. Bryan earned his Bachelor of the Arts in history in 2008 and his Masters in Public Administration in 2010, both from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington
