COMPANY HISTORY

4T’s Productions began in October 1992 by Kayod’e Bentley and a group of inner-city youth from his community in the Bronx NY. They came together with a desire to produce a fashion show event designed to display the professionalism of inner-city youth. Since then 4T's has grown to
become an organization dedicated to helping students and inner-city youth become successful professionals that invest back into their community. In 1995 4T’s included an information service to its operations that provided a series of presentations at schools in the Harlem community. The students and faculty in attendance found these presentations inspiring and informative resulting in students requesting employment within the organization and faculty requesting 4T’s return for future career day presentations.
In 1996, 4T’s created the PPI (Positive Peer Influence) component to its operations that has served as an important comprehensive tool which awakens the self-achievement spirit in youth from other successful professional youth. During this same time 4T’s completed its first inner-city youth forum that included students, youth and adults in the Michelangelo complex located in the South Bronx. This event garnered praise and support from all the residents of the community.
In 2006, 4T’s created three comprehensive programs that specifically target students and inner-city youth between the ages of 16 – 24.
- The Student Excel program which is designed to motivate junior high school students to improve their school performance thereby increasing their G.P.A. in order to advance to their senior year.
- The Express Portal - Career program which is designed to motivate and inspire senior high school students to improve their school performance to an above average level enabling them to graduate and advance onto higher education or attain employment towards establishing a career.
- The Express Portal - Entrepreneurship program which is designed to train young professionals to use their established skill set to start a business.
In 2008, 4T’s created a new component called CPE (Career Preparation Evaluation) that has proven to effectively identify students and youth’s natural professional ability (skill sets). This component has made a major breakthrough in helping students excel in school and attain employment. It links their natural professional ability to a career.
